Salmon

Salmon farming, also known as salmon aquaculture, involves raising salmon from egg to market size in controlled environments. The process typically begins in freshwater hatcheries, where salmon are nurtured for one year before being transferred to saltwater farm sites, such as net-pens or cages, where they continue to grow for 18-24 months. Farmers feed the fish, maintain equipment and facilities, and ensure compliance with government regulations. The farmed salmon are then harvested and processed for human consumption.
